Lower Gold Grades Cause Drop in Newcrest Shares
Sydney Morning Herald reported that Newcrest Mining’s (ASX:NCM) shares fell after news its gold grades were diminishing.
As quoted in the market news:
In recent trade, the miners shares were down 85 cents, or 2.7 per cent, to $30.22. Newcrest waited until after the close of ASX trading yesterday to declare that its production for the year to June 2012 was now likely to be 6 per cent lower than previous guidance.
