The Problem with Accredited Investor Restrictions

What are Share Buybacks?

A share buyback occurs when a company repurchases outstanding shares in order to reduce the number of shares it has on the market. Companies can take this step as a way to increase the value of available shares through reducing supply, or as a way of decreasing the possibility of shareholders taking a controlling stake in the company.
