Gas – Reuters reported that Italy, Albania and Greece signed an agreement in favor of building the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which will deliver gas from Azerbaijan to the European Union. It is hoped that the pipeline will reduce Europe's dependence on Russia for energy.
Chromium – In 2011, Empire Mining suspended its Albanian chromium mine due to licensing issues. But last month, Empire won a second lawsuit against Albania's economy ministry, paving the way for operations to continue.
Chromium – Empire Mining Corp. (TSXV:EPC) announced that its Bulqiza-Batra chromite license was returned after it won a lawsuit against the Albanian Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Energy. The license permits Empire to drill and pursue underground development and evaluation at the site for one year.
