Oil – Western Canadian oil companies have seen the price of their crude drop on the back of a lack of pipeline outlets, growing North American production and unplanned refinery shutdowns. Is this decline likely to continue?
Oil – CaiTerra International Energy Corporation (TSXV:CTI) announced that it has already commenced drilling on its Faust Property which comprises of 18,600 net acres of land that won’t expire for the next 3 years, and 3,840 net acres of land that won’t expire until April 2013.
Lithium – Nemaska Lithium Inc. (TSXV:NMX) announced the filing of preliminary shelf base prospectus with the securities regulatory agencies in the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec. When the filings are made final, the company will be able to making offerings of securities to a maximum of CAD$100,000,000 within the 25-month period that the prospectus remains effective.
Nickel – Victory Nickel Inc. (TSX:NI) announced that it has finalized a loan agreement for $1 million with an interest of 12% per annum, payable quarterly in arrears until January 31, 2015.
Oil – The premiers of Alberta and Quebec have agreed to consider shipping oil to Eastern Canada following strained relations over a similar proposal to transport oil across British Columbia to the West Coast.
Oil – Apache Corporation (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) has announced promising drilling results in the Dunvegan oil reservoir in the Kaybob development area in Alberta, Canada.
Oil – Hemisphere Energy Corporation (TSXV:HME) is pleased to announce two more successful oil wells in Jenner, south-east Alberta. Hemisphere started the drilling of these wells in late September 2012 resulting in one horizontal well and one vertical well that targeted the oil-bearing sandstones of the Glauconitic formation.
Oil – Quattro Exploration and Production Ltd. (TSXV:QXP) announced that it has closed the acquisition of a number of oil and gas assets located in Central Alberta. The purchase is part of Quattro's strategy of focusing on high-quality conventional oil and gas assets in Canada.
Oil – With crude prices once again near the $100/barrel level, more and more investors are seeking out oil-producing juniors with high potential. Some of those with land positions in the Viking oil play are fast gaining recognition.
Oil – Quattro Exploration and Production Ltd. (TSXV:QXP) announced that its acquisition of oil and gas assets located in Alberta is set to close on or before October 30, commenting that it has now completed the due diligence, negotiations and adjustments related to the deal.
