Copper Fox Metals’ Van Dyke Drilling Program Completed

Copper – Copper Fox Metals Inc. (TSXV:CUU) and wholly owned subsidiary Desert Fox Copper Inc. announced the completion of the verification drilling program at the Van Dyke copper project in Arizona. Highlights include intersection of broad intervals of copper oxide and copper carbonate minerals in all holes, with two of the drill holes hitting weak quartz veinlet hosted chalcopyrite+/-molybdenite mineralization below the oxide copper mineralization.

EPA Wants to Stop Northern Dynasty Minerals’s Copper and Gold Mine, Alaska

Copper – The National Journal reported that the United States Environmental Protection Agency won't allow a large copper and gold mine to be built near Alaska's Bristol Bay. The Pebble Partnership, who wants to develop the mine and is 100 percent owned by Northern Dynasty Minerals (TSX:NDM) spoke against action taken by the EPA through its draft Clean Water Act on Friday, according to the publication. The developers have yet to submit their formal application and development plan.

Augusta Resource and HudBay Minerals Announce Take-up of Shares, Offer Extension

Copper – HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM,NYSE:HBM) and Augusta Resource Corporation (TSX:AZC,NYSE MKT:AZC) reported that Hudbay has taken up 116,233,761 common shares of Augusta which were validly deposited under Hudbay's offer to acquire all outstanding Augusta Shares not already owned by Hudbay or its affiliates for consideration per Augusta Share of 0.315 of a common share of Hudbay and 0.17 of a warrant to acquire a common share of Hudbay. The Augusta shares taken up under the offer, together with those already owned by Hudbay, represent roughly 92 percent of issued and outstanding shares of Augusta.

McEwen Mining Assessing Los Azules Following First Quantum’s Acquisition of Taca Taca

Copper – McEwen Mining Inc. (NYSE:MUX) today released its second-quarter production results, also announcing that the company is conducting an impairment test of its Los Azules project in Argentina in light of the recently announced acquisition of Lumina Copper Corp. (TSXV:LCC) by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM).

Nevada Copper Provides Project and Financing Update

Copper – Nevada Copper Corp. (TSX:NCU) today gave an update on its Pumpkin Hollow project and financing activities. Highlights included the advancement of the detailed engineering of Nevada Copper's process plant to 40 percent completion, the forecast of initial ore production ramp-up for the second quarter of 2016 and the engagement of BMO Capital Markets as strategic and financial advisor for the company.

Superior Copper Announces $2.25 Million Best Efforts Non-Brokered Private Placement

Copper – Superior Copper Corporation (TSXV:SPC) plans to complete a best efforts non-brokered private placement financing of hard dollar units at a price of $0.15 per HD Unit, and flow-through common shares priced at $0.15 per FT Share, for gross proceeds of up to $2,250,000. Proceeds from the offering will be used for general working capital and to further develop and explore the Superior Project, Batchawana Bay, Ontario. Superior Copper expects that a second drill rig will be active on the property as soon as possible.
