Lithium – Concentrated lithium production for July represented a 25 percent increase from the previous month for Galaxy Resources. The company also expects to add value following an upstream deal with a large battery manufacturer.
Lithium – Galaxy Resources has provisionally chosen the site for its proposed lithium-ion battery project in China. The proposed site is also in close proximity to some of the major Chinese electric bike manufacturers, which could be critical in developing strategic alliances or marketing agreements with potential end-customers.
Lithium – With more than 22 million electric bikes sold in China last year, the demand for lithium ion battery technology is under potential threat as increased transportation regulations would increase ownership costs and reduce the demands for domestic electric bicycle use.
