Nickel – North American Nickel Inc (TSXV:NAN) announced that its first tranche of non-brokered private placement garnered a gross proceeds of $4,458,345 through the issuance of 26,225,561 units. The proceeds will be used to finance the company’s Maniitsoq 2013 exploration and drill program.
Rare Earth – The newly founded entity will be the only prospector active in Ganzhou and will be involved in rare earth mining, smelting, processing and trading.
Oil – Reuters reported that Greenland’s incoming mining and oil minister, Jens Erik Kirkegaard, said that while the country has enough number of oil licenses, it will be more careful about giving new oil permits which could mean a more difficult investment climate for international oil companies.

At least 3,000 meters of drilling are planned, with fieldwork scheduled to start in May and drilling set to commence in June.

Nickel – North American Nickel Inc. (TSXV:NAN,OTCBB:WSCRF) announced that high-grade nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum, palladium and gold were found at its wholly-owned, Greenland-based Maniitsoq project. Platinum, palladium and gold have not been found at the property until now.
Uranium – Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd (ASX:GGG,PINK:GDLNF) announced a change in Greenland's political policy regarding uranium will affect its Kvanefjeld project.
