Copper – After a drop in third-quarter copper production, miners are signalling that they will increase production while placing large projects on hold amid global economic uncertainty.
Copper – Reuters reported that the Delaware Supreme Court found that Chancery Court judge Leo Strine was not out of line in ruling that Southern Copper Corp. (NYSE:SCCO) be paid about $2 billion by Grupo Mexico (OTC Pink:GMBXF) after overpaying for Minera Mexico.
Copper – Bloomberg reported that Grupo Mexico (OTC Pink:GMBXF) has decided not to pursue a merger of two of its mining businesses.
Moly – Mineweb reported that production of some metals has increased at Grupo Mexico's (PINK:GMBXF) mines, but it is also paying a windfall tax.

Moly – Many molybdenum mining companies have released Second Quarter results, as well as updates for ongoing projects. Results for the companies are mixed as some have benefited from rising moly prices, while others have struggled to get new projects online.
