Diamond – Bloomberg reported that, according to an unidentified person familiar with the matter, Rio Tinto plc (ASX:RIO,LSE:RIO,NYSE:RIO) has hired Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) to oversee an initial public offering of its gem unit after interested buyers have failed to step forward.
Nickel – Duluth Metals Limited (TSX:DM, TSX:DM.U), a nickel acquisition, exploration, and development company, said it will not push through with its planned IPO financing for Duluth Exploration Limited (DEL), its wholly owned subsidiary, because of market and IPO conditions.
Palladium – Forbes reported that Sprott Asset Management announced that Sprott Physical Platinum and Palladium Trust will issue in its IPO of 28,000,000 units at $10.00 each.
Silver – The Royal Canadian Mint purchased over 3 million ounces of silver following the IPO of its Canadian Silver Reserves Program.
Gas – Reuters reported that Lehigh Gas Partners LP has announced that it is launching an initial public offering of 6,000,000 common units, which will trade on the NYSE under the symbol "LGP."
Diamond – Business Insider reported Tiffany's (NYSE:TIF) earnings looks glittery on the surface, with a 63 percent jump in its third-quarter results.
Manganese – Bloomberg reports that MOIL Ltd., India’s largest producer of manganese ore, is likely to sell shares at the top of the range in its initial offering, raising 12.4 billion rupees.
Rare Earth – Reuters reports Chinese mining giant Minmetals plans to list its rare earth unit as the price of rare earth elements hit new highs amid supply worries.
Gold – Reuters reports that China Gold International Resources Corp Ltd (TSE:CGG) plans to raise $220-280 million through a Hong Kong stock market listing.
Nickel – Business World online reports that Nickel Asia, the fourth company to do so this year, has received approval from the SEC for its' IPO, opening the door to raise capital - up to P8 billion.
