Pure Energy Minerals Completes Drill Program on the CV-2 Well at Lithium Brine Project in Nevada

Lithium – Pure Energy Minerals (TSXV:PE,FWB:A111EG,OTC:HMGLF) reported that drilling on the CV-2 exploration well in the Lithium Brine Project in Clayton Valley, Nevada, has been completed. The Company also previously drilled and installed its CV-1 test production well to a total measured depth of 275 meters. CV-2 is 1 kilometer to the south of the CV-1 drill hole.

Pure Energy Extracts Lithium with Greater Than 99.9% Purity in Process Testing

Lithium – Pure Energy Minerals (TSXV:PE,FWB:A111EG,OTC:HMGLF) announced that in the final report and results of the lithium extraction processing work conducted by Tenova Bateman Technologies, greater than 99.9% lithium purity was achieved using the Bateman LiP™ (pre-treatment stage) and LiSX™ (main Li-removal) processes for extraction of lithium from brine. The LiSX™ process produced a Lithium Chloride Solution with a purity greater than 99.9%, with practically 100% Li recovery.

Cobre Montana Produces Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate From Cinovec

Lithium – Cobre Montana (ASX:CXB) completed initial metallurgical testwork for lithium, resulting in precipitation of battery grade lithium carbonate and a byproduct of sulphate of potash from a sample of Cinovec ore. Cobre Montana also reports that tailings from European Metals Holdings Limited (ASX:EMH) proposed tin/tungsten operations may result in operating costs descending well below the US$2000/t operating cost for the production of lithium carbonate.

Nano One Metals Begins Commercial Facility Design Study

Lithium – Nano One Materials (TSXV:NNO) reported that NORAM Engineering and Constructors and BC Research have commenced work to provide a conceptual design and cost estimate for a commercial facility to produce lithium ion battery cathode materials. The company is receiving financial support from Canada’s National Research Council Industrial Research Assistance Program as part of a larger project funding agreement.
