Platinum – Reuters reported that Sylvania Platinum Ltd said the accidents that occurred last month at Samancor Chrome Ltd’s mines in South Africa caused 900 ounces of lost production and sent its stocks down 10%.
Diamond – Reuters reported that Gem Diamonds Ltd. reported higher sales forecast for 2013 at 110,000 and 125,000 carats and said the overall rough diamond prices are higher so far this year.
