Avrupa Minerals Reports Assays, Plans 4,000 Meters of Drilling

Silver – Avrupa Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:AVU) announced its assay results from holes SLV007 and SLV008 at the Slivovo JV project in Kosovo. Highlights of the results include 13.05 meters at 1.78 g/t gold and 18.88 g/t silver in SLV007 and 2.65 meters at 1.06 g/t gold from SLV008. The company also outlined its plan for 4,000 meters of drilling in the Gossan zone.

Kootenay Silver CEO Jim McDonald Talks New Silver Discovery in Mexico

Silver – Kootenay Silver (TSXV:KTN) CEO Jim McDonald spoke to the Investing News Network at Red Cloud's pre-PDAC event in Toronto about Promontorio Silver mine in Sonora State, Mexico. In 2014, the Company made a new discovery on the property called the La Negra Breccia Silver Discovery, north of Promontorio. The La Negra system is "big silver system, potential for a low cost, leaching, open-pit operation" according to Mr. McDonald. In 2015, investors can look forward to drilling at La Negra, which started in February, and Mr. McDonald adds, "after which, we are looking to do a resource calculation."

Southern Silver Reports Results from AGM

Silver – Southern Silver Exploration Corp. (TSXV:SSV,FWB:SEG) reported that a financing of 20 million units at $0.08 per unit has been fully subscribed, the first tranche of $1,455,200 has closed. Southern Silver also announced that shareholders approved the following items at the AGM help on February 27: the designation of Electrum as a new control person, the adoption of a Shareholder Rights Plan, and the election of incumbent directors Lawrence Page, Q.C., David Roger Scammell, Dale Janowsky, Q.C., Eugene Spiering and Nigel Bunting.
