TSX Approves Powertech Uranium and Azarga Resources Merger

Uranium – The TSX has given conditional approval to the merger between Powertech Uranium (TSX:PWE) and Azarga Resources. The new company will be called Azarga Uranium Corporation. The TSX also conditionally approved the company's $5 million private placement, with the company issuing up to 84 million units at a price of $0.06 per unit.

Alpha Completes Final Tranche of Private Placement

Uranium – Alpha Exploration (TSXV:AEX) announced that it has completed the final tranche of a non-brokered private placement, issuing 1.69 million flow-through units. In total, the company has issued 4,652,777 common shares and 2,326,387 to raise proceeds of $837,500. The proceeds are intended to fund exploration expenditures on properties in the Athabasca Basin.

Alpha Exploration Reacts to BC Supreme Court Ruling

Uranium – Alpha Exploration (TSXV:AEX) announced that it is disappointed with the BC Supreme Court's decision on Alpha's application for an injunction restraining NexGen from employing Garrett Ainsworth for a six month period commencing June 2, 2014. The judge ruled that the matter wasn't suitable for disposition through a summary trial. As a result, the injunction was dismissed and the cost of the injunction was awarded to Nexgen.

Uranium Energy Corp Advances Production Permitting

Uranium – Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE MKT:UEC) reported that its Mine Permit and Aquifer Exemption Applications for its Burke Hollow In-Situ Recovery (ISR) Project in Texas, have moved to the technical review stage with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). In addition, UEC has appointed Craig Wall as Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety.
